The term “best practices” is used to describe the “best” techniques used in a company or industry. Unfortunately, companies often confuse latest with best, with the practices of one era quickly replaced by those of the next.

For example, there is the adage that a leader should ensure growth at all costs. Ironically, there is a dawning recognition that human connectivity is the primary “means” to drive that growth.
